The Townie was Electra's first bike collection to showcase the patented Flat Foot Technology(R) in all it's glory. It challenged traditional bike design and created a new riding experience with an ergonomic, upright seating position that lets you plant your feet on the ground whenever you want. With the pedal pushing adjusted a bit more forward, rather than straight down, there is less strain on the knees and lower back.
